SHOOTING: Cumborah clay target shooter Nathan Power is heading to Ireland in August to shoot in the 2008 World Championships.

The 19-year-old has had great success, having placed in several championships including a bronze medal in the State Junior Championship when he was 14. This was a great achievement as it was only the second day he had used a shotgun.

Since then Power has won a bronze medal in the State open championship, a silver medal at the National championships in 2004 and in 2007 he made the NSW State open team.

He attended the 2006 World Championships and placed 22nd in the world.

Power will now shoot for glory in the 2008 World championships.

“This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity and experience for me,” Powers said.

“I am aiming to improve on my previous placing and I am quietly confident I can come home with the medal.”

Power is seeking sponsorship and would greatly appreciate any form of support.

If you can assist please contact Power on 0427 110 055.
